Management of proposals

When the "proposals" -component is added to the participation space, proposals can be browsed and managed from the sidebar's "Components" -section's link "Proposals". You can access the same view from the component listing -view using the "manage" -button.

From the actions of the whole list of proposals you can find the following actions:

  • New - This button allows you to add a new official proposal, which is an idea initiated by the city or municipality. This button is only shown if official proposals are enabled for the component as described in the "Settings for proposal component" -section
  • Export - This button allows you to export the given proposal or the comments in them to an external file format, so it is also possible to handle the projects outside of the system. Exporting is possible to the following formats: CSV, JSON and excel. Export sends a message to the admin's email after the export is done.

From the proposal listing you can easily see the amount of votes and status of each proposal.

Admin defines the status of the proposal, the determining of the status is described more in depth in the section "Replying to proposals". If the proposal has not been replied to yet, the status will be "Not answered". Replying to a proposal is allowed only if it is enabled in the settings of the component and its phases.

Existing proposals can be managed with their action buttons. Proposals have the following action buttons:

  • Reply - This button allows you to reply to a proposal if replies are enabled and it is possible on the current active phase.
  • Preview - This button allows you to preview the proposal in the form it is shown on the public page.

Proposals cannot be hidden from the page without moderation, because this is a big part of an open participation and process transparency. Proposals can only be hidden through moderation. Reporting proposals to moderators is described in the "Reporting content to moderators" -section. How moderation is done from an admin point of view is described in the "Moderation" -section.
